The Arecont Vision, the industry leader in IP-based megapixel camera technology, has introduced the AV10005, the world's first H.264 Dual Mode 10MP/1080p camera. This innovative Dual Mode camera merges the resolution of a 10 megapixel camera and a full HD 1080p at 30 fps camera into one system. The AV10005 is available in color, day/night and color auto-iris versions. The 1/2.3 CMOS image sensor delivers clear images in H.264 and MJPEG format. With forensic zooming, you can pan, tilt and zoom live with multiple zoom windows while still recording the full field of view in high-definition. This is useful when CCTV video footage needs to be previewed and analyzed in criminal and other legal cases. Compared with IP VGA and analog CCTV cameras, this camera delivers 32 times the resolution, and also optimizes network bandwidth and storage capacity using H.264 video compression. It operates using Power over Ethernet, eliminating the need for a nearby power outlet, making it more convenient.
The AV1005 offers a binned mode that combines average pixels for increased low-light performance, ensuring high-quality images even in tough lighting conditions. Other innovative features include multi-streaming for up to eight concurrent streams, Region of Interest, and built-in motion detection. It is capable of sustaining over 80 billion operations per second and maintaining full motion progressive scan 3648 x 2752 video at 5 fps. The on-camera motion detection feature consists of 64 detection zones. When motion is detected, either an audio alarm triggers or recording starts. The programmable shutter speed helps you control the motion blur, resulting in crisp and clear images, while the auto multi-matrix white balance feature allows the camera to take a standard white color reference to adjust the RGB (red, green, and blue) colors to produce good quality images in different light conditions. This camera offers the ability to use a single camera model to solve a multitude of challenging requirements that exist in complex installations.
